Annalise in Calgary!

Hello dearest apartment blog!
For the past week, I've been traveling across the beautiful province of Alberta, visiting my relatives and exploring new cities. I'm in Calgary now and it is my last day! I'm taking a flight home at 6PM tonight. Sigh. I must admit I miss home. I miss my Cass and my Roxy and my cat!!!
I hope my little apartment is still in one piece. I can't wait to come back home!

So far today, I've attempted to wash my floors, attempted to clean the living room, succeeded in fucking around, and failed at doing anything worthwhile.
Days like this make me realize how much I need to get my fucking shit together.
I can't be bothered to do basic household tasks (except washing dishes... I like that.) but I can easily piss away 4 hours in front of this fucking screen or lying in bed sleeping. What kind of life is that?
Oh and the worst part is that my internet is being a piece of shit (what else is new?) so this entry probably won't even get published.
I feel so horrible and ugly and lame today. Being alone with myself is kind of making me want to bang my head against the wall. Well, there goes the internet. What a fucking waste of time.

Long time, no update.

For Roxy's sake, I am updating the b-log. Not much to say, really... We got a sweet new table for the living room... Our rooms are still a mess... Yep, that's about it.
I have a video of my cat drinking expired milk out of a cup that I will attempt to post for your enjoyment.

Update! Update!

Well, things are basically amazing! We washed the floors for the first time since we moved in (what! we didn't have a mop...) and let me tell you, it makes a ginormous difference! Other than that, the place is relatively clean, 'cept for our rooms. Whatever, I'm hardly ever in mine anyways. Cassis working tonight which sucks because I wanted her to cook me some fish. :( Cass is a such a good cook, and I am so hopeless at it. I thin she likes cooking for me, though, so it's all good.
Anyways, the apartment is clean, we have groceries, we have furniture, someone may or may not have had sex on the living room couch last night (I'm looking at you, Cass!) but it's all good! I Febrezed it this morning so I figure all reminant odours are now trapped and vapourized a la Febreze! Ok, well I hope you enjoyed this update. I sure did!

The place is a mess. Did some dishes, but I'll have to do more. -ugh-

Lise is stil sleeping, which is a feat for her. Usually she is up and at 'em by 8am, and I'm the one sleeping in! Oh well, I should let her have her beauty rest....unless....nah. She'd be sooo pissed if I woke her up!


Anywhoo, I'm off to buy some more hair dye today, not sure which colour yet =S Should be good though. I'm sticking with the blues.

Furniture!

Well the place is really coming together. Cass's g'rents gave us a bunch of tables and chairs so now we are rocking a very retro vibe, which I love. Things are good!

Hey everyone, Lise here.
Well, this apartment has officially started to drive me just the slightest bit insane! I still love it, of course but living in an old house comes with its share of ups and downs.
We got our new fridge on saturday and everything was going smooth until... dum dum dum.... TOILET BLOCKAGE. Yes, that is right.
And not just any old cloggage, but the kind that regurgitates into the bathtub!
It's pretty strange. I had to go knock on the landlord lady's door last night at around 10PM to ask to borrow her plunger because ours just wasn't cutting it. Turns out, it was a job too difficult for ANY plunger. So we put some Draino down the pipes every half hour and we seemed to be making some progress but I just tried flushing the toilet again about an hour ago and shit is still coming up into the bathtub. So yeah, I guess we'll need a plumber to come check it out.

On another note, I've been desperately trying to upload me and Cass's videos but they are just too friggin big. I'm gonna try and fuck around with the settings to see if I they will save in a smaller format but until I figure that out, no videos for you! And by "you", I mean Roxy, our only reader.

Mmm lentil salad

Yeah, so basically my parents brought Lise and I to do our first grocery for the new place yesterday! w00t w00t, actual food!

The only problem is our damn fridge isn't working. Stupid piece of crap, its brand new and already it wont keep things cold. The light and motor are working, but WHY WONT IT BE COLD?!

Oh well.

Things to ask land lady about:
-fridge ?
-mail? where does it go?
-can we paint?
-damn....there was something else... oh well, I'll write it down when I remember!

Anywhoooo, I'm off to get dressed and whatnot, still have to unpack most of my boxes!

Update!

Yesterday was finally the big move! You don't realize how much junk you really have until you're crumpling under its weight in a narrow staircase....
Anyways, Scott and Gael came and help us out which was amazing of them. They moved all of the big shit for us. To be honest, I don't think we did that much heavy lifting at all... But it's ok because we look adorable and fragile so people don't want us lifting heavy stuff anyways.





Scott documented the whole thing for us. I'm just going to post a few of my favourite ones for now. Anyways, we drank beer, smoked weed and had people over in the afternoon. We came up with a name for our mascot.

His name is Bugs boner.

Anyways, we just chilled the rest of the afternoon and then Scott took us out for dinner at Ambrosia and it was lovely.

Officially official.

We went to go pay our first month's rent yesterday and signed the lease! I'd take a picture of the lease but Cass has it in her purse right now so it'll have to wait...
The lady said she would be finished painting by Sunday afternoon so I think I am going to start moving in on Monday! Excitedness.
